An $8 handling fee per invoice applies to all submissions in addition to the following fees.

SERVICE FEE PER COIN DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE
EVALUATION 1% of declared value* per coin, minimum $10
  Evaluation is the first step in the conservation process. During the evaluation process, a determination is made as to what, if any, conservation will be undertaken. Coin(s) holdered by any service other than NGC or PCGS will be treated as raw coin(s) and removed from their holder. In order to submit coins that are in holders other than NGC or PCGS, a "Consent to Remove Coin(s) from Holder(s)" form must be signed and submitted prior to any work being performed by NCS. Coins that are in either NGC or PCGS holders and cannot benefit from conservation will be returned and the customer will only be charged the 1% evaluation fee. Raw coins will be forwarded to the appropriate NCS-approved grading service for encapsulation if the "Standard conservation with grading" option (listed under Conservation Services option A on the submission form) is marked. Additional fees apply for encapsulation.
       
CONSERVATION 4% of declared value* up to $150,000 per coin, 2% of declared value* over $150,000 per coin, $15 minimum fee †   Appropriate conservation work is performed. After conservation, coins will be submitted to the appropriate NCS-approved grading service if requested. Additional fees apply for encapsulation. NCS reserves the right to make the final decision as to the best conservation treatment.
       
WALKTHROUGH $100 additional per coin   Applies to all coins on an invoice. Same-day turnaround dependent on the volume of work at NCS at the time of submission. This fee is in addition to NCS standard conservation fees.
       
EXPEDITE $50 additional per coin   If selected, all coins on an invoice will be put to the front of the conservation line. Turnaround time is based on the quantity of work at the time of submission. This fee is in addition to NCS standard conservation fees.
       
MODERN TIER (NON-GOLD) $27†   Submit any uncertified US or World non-gold coin struck from 1970 to present. One flat fee includes conservation by NCS and NGC certification. Following conservation, coins are transferred to NGC where they are graded and encapsulated in the NGC holder. Not genuine coins or coins with altered dates or mintmarks will be returned uncertified. Maximum value $300 per coin. Five (5)-coin minimum.
       
MODERN TIER (GOLD) $50†   Submit any uncertified US or world gold coin struck from 1970 to present. One flat fee includes conservation by NCS and NGC certification. Following conservation, coins are transferred to NGC where they are graded and encapsulated in the NGC holder. Not genuine coins or coins with altered dates or mintmarks will be returned uncertified. Maximum value $2,000 per coin. Five (5)-coin minimum.
       
RETURN MINT PACKAGING $3 per submission   For example: capsules, Certificates of Authenticity and Mint boxes.
       
LOW RESOLUTION
IMAGING
$5 per coin   Available for NGC-certified coins. Digital imaging for coins submitted under any of its grading and service tiers at $5 per coin. Applies to all coins on the invoice. Image consists of an accurate 72 dpi “JPG” image of the NGC holder’s obverse and reverse.
       
PHOTO VISION® $15   Available for NGC-certified coins. A PDF with high-quality enlarged images of the coin's obverse and reverse and label information.

INTERNET IMAGING $5 additional per coin   Available for NGC-certified coins. Digital imaging for coins submitted under any of its grading and service tiers at $5 per coin. Applies to all coins on the invoice. Image consists of an accurate 72 dpi “JPG” image of the NGC coin holder’s obverse and reverse.

Applicable grading fees   If selected, all coins on the invoice will be submitted to NGC. Previously certified coins will be transferred only if they have been removed from their original holders and conserved. Standard NGC grading fees apply.
       

† NGC Oversize Holder fee of $20 per coin applies to coins over 45 mm in diameter. Additional postage may apply. Upgrade to Scratch-Resistant Oversize Holder for $35 per coin.

*Declared value MUST represent fair market value (FMV) and NCS reserves the right to make adjustments for undervalued items.

  Coins submitted to NGC will be graded either numerically (if they have acceptable surfaces) or with Details Grading, at the discretion of NGC’s grading team. It is not necessary for the submitter to declare which service is desired, as this will be determined automatically by NGC. Standard NGC grading tier rates apply and are determined by coin type and value. Contact NCS representatives for more information.
       
VARIETYPLUS® ATTRIBUTION $15 per coin   Upon request, NGC will attribute a coin for recognized varieties. This fee is in addition to standard certification fees.
       
MINT ERROR ATTRIBUTION $15 per coin   Upon request, NGC will attribute a coin for recognized mint errors. This fee is in addition to standard certification fees.
