HOW TO SAFELY PACK YOUR COINS FOR SHIPMENT
Raw coins submitted in individual flips, must be one coin per flip. If you have a certified coin for submission, do not remove the coin from its certified holder. Coin(s) holdered by any service other than NGC or PCGS will be treated as raw coins(s) and removed from their holder. In order to submit coins that are in holders other than NGC or PCGS, a "Consent to Remove Coin(s) from Holders(s)" form must be signed and submitted prior to any work being performed by NCS.
Place all of the coins in a safety mailer or sturdy box. Inside the box, be sure to use lots of foam padding or bubble wrap, around the coins, being sure that the coins cannot escape the protective padding. We do not recommend the use of newspaper or foam "peanuts" as they do not offer sufficient protection due to shifting during transit which opens the possibility of damage to coins. Important: Pack your coins carefully and thoroughly in case your package is handled roughly. Securely seal your package(s) with reinforced shipping tape to prevent tampering while en route. Any damaged, unsealed or poorly sealed packages will be rejected and returned to you by the shipper. NCS is not responsible for damage to your coins prior to their arrival at NCS or after they leave NCS, so pack and insure your coins appropriately.
Place your Submission Form in the package with your coins. Seal the package with packing tape according to USPS guidelines. Be sure your package is properly registered and insured with the USPS for delivery to NCS. The delivery address for your submission to NCS should be:
Numismatic Conservation Services, LLC
P.O. Box 4750
